Specialist quarry sourced stones with high PSV
In 2014, we formed a joint venture company with Breedon Aggregates giving us a larger presence in the market place as well as incorporating their safety and technical services into our business. It allows us to supply some of the raw materials from our quarry to their tarmacadam plant in Telford, Shropshire.

Building supplies
To improve our services to our customers, we have recently invested in a bagging plant and a tipper truck with a Hiab crane and grab; this enables us to bag any material you need and deliver it on-site. The materials available in dumpy bags include:
- Building and concreting sand
- Type 1
- Dust
- Decorative aggregates
Along with the above, we also supply all grades and sizes of concrete blocks and 20-kg bags of cement, sand and chippings.
Decorative aggregates
The gritstone extracted from the quarry has a a polished stone value (PSV) of +68, making it suitable for use in the manufacturing of asphalt due to its excellent skid resistance.
The stone also makes very attractive walling stone and is found in many walls and houses in the local area.
We can also supply decorative aggregates, which can improve the natural features of any garden or driveway with creative landscaping.
Ready mix concrete
Some of the crushed aggregate is used in the manufacturing of our ready mix concrete, which is all BSI compliant. Our newly installed RMC plant and large fleet of mixer trucks allow us to service the needs of our customers whether large or small.
The concrete is manufactured using our own 20-mm chippings with imported sand and cement. The concrete is CQA registered and ISO 9002 compliant. Any waste concrete is processed in our state-of-the-art recycler to minimise the impact on the environment.
